But like I said even our security cameras do the same thing.
We went through something similar and learned to turn off the option "Allow Windows to Disable the NIC" or something under the network card properties. Here's a nice story where a Intel NIC would create a broadcast storm and generate a whole bunch of random MAC Address. Over the years I learned to just trust whatever IS on the database and not whatever the mac address sticky finds. I don't know how this is possible, but I've seen dummy mac addresses that also don't have a OUI associated with them and sometimes they appear as 0000.0000.0000. This is not limited to PCs only since our newest Avigilon security cameras are doing this now. Sometimes the NIC sends off a dummy mac address whenever the computer wakes up or during boot up.
